NEWINGTON GREEN MEETING HOUSE
CLIENT: NEWINGTON GREEN MEETING HOUSE
Newington Green is one of those ancient villages swallowed up by London as it grew. A centuries old tradition of dissent has its roots in the Unitarian Meeting House at Newington Green, who wanted light-touch interpretation of their story to feature in a major Lottery refurbishment and repair project.
We used wallpapers and designed super slim furniture to dress lobby and education room walls with the stories of local radicals and congregants such as Richard Price and Mary Wollstonecraft.
