CLIENT : CHESTER ZOO

Outside Studios won a competitive tender to join the team at Chester Zoo on the Heart of Africa project, an extensive rethink of almost a fifth of the zoo. Our role started with the development of interpretation themes and detailed planning of the visitor journey, and ended with the delivery of dozens of exhibits, sculptures, and even the creation and illustration of a comic strip featuring Blue, the zoo poo, representing cutting edge science developed at Chester.

All along the route simple and durable interactives challenge visitors to test their wildlife ranger skills and highlight key science stories.
